Cairo, June 08 (QNA) - Egypt stressed the importance of a swift agreement between the United States and Iran that addresses the concerns of all parties, particularly regional countries, warning that continued tensions could deepen security, economic, and geopolitical challenges across the region.

In a statement on Monday, Egypt's Foreign Ministry said an agreement should help restore stability, resolve outstanding issues, including Iran's nuclear program and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and reduce the risk of further escalation.

The ministry also called for respect for international law and the United Nations Charter, urging all sides to prioritize diplomatic and political solutions.

Egypt further emphasized the need to create conditions for broader regional understandings, including renewed efforts to address the Palestinian issue and improve conditions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as part of efforts to achieve lasting stability. (QNA)
