Gaza, June 7 (QNA) - Five Palestinians have been killed and 17 others wounded today in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a Palestinian police station on Rashid Street; west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported.

The statement added that its crews transported the dead and wounded to the field hospital in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the city.

For its part, the Gaza Police Directorate stated in a press release that Israeli warplanes targeted a police station west of Khan Younis, resulting in a number of casualties.

In recent days, Israeli forces have escalated their aggression against the Gaza Strip, launching numerous airstrikes and shelling operations targeting homes, apartments, and tents housing displaced people, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries. (QNA)
