Brussels, June 05 (QNA) - European stock markets opened mixed on Friday as investors weighed geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East and continued fluctuations in global oil prices.
Among the region's major indexes, France's CAC 40 edged up 0.16% in early trading, outperforming its European peers.
Germany's DAX slipped 0.24%, reflecting cautious investor sentiment in Europe's largest economy, while Italy's FTSE MIB fell 0.11%.
In London, the FTSE 100 also moved lower, declining 0.19% at the start of trading.
Market participants remained focused on developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on energy markets, with oil price volatility continuing to influence investor confidence across European equities.
The mixed performance highlights the cautious mood among investors as they assess geopolitical risks and broader economic conditions heading into the second half of the year. (QNA)
