Beijing, June 30 (QNA) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met on Tuesday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to discuss the evolving regional and international situation.

Both ministers held talks on developments in the region, de-escalation efforts, and strengthening regional security and stability.

In addition, the two ministers underscored the importance of maritime security and maintaining freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and international waterways to support energy security and stabilize the global economy.

They also took stock of the advancing bilateral relationship in a wide range of fields, particularly economic, commercial, and investment cooperation. (QNA)
