Doha, June 28 (QNA) - The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC), affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, launched its annual Summer Camp 2026 on Sunday under the theme "Pioneers of Science and Technology."

The program, which runs through Aug. 19, is designed to enhance young people's scientific and technical skills while fostering a culture of innovation and creativity through a diverse range of educational programs and hands-on workshops during the summer vacation.

This year's program features a broad range of scientific and hands-on activities spanning science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Organized in partnership with several national institutions, it aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to meet future challenges.

In partnership with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), QSC will continue to deliver the fifth edition of the "Future Engineer" program, introducing participants to the engineering profession and its various disciplines while fostering engineering thinking and problem-solving skills through practical training and field visits.

In partnership with the Qatar Society of Engineers, the Club will also offer the STEM 26 Summer Program, designed to enhance participants' innovation, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills through interactive projects and hands-on STEM learning.

In the field of emerging technologies, QSC's Oasis of Manufacturers and Innovators will offer specialized workshops for young men and women aged 15 to 29, covering digital fabrication through 3D printing, ESP32-based Internet of Things (IoT) applications, artificial intelligence applications using Raspberry Pi, and CNC machining.

The workshops are designed to equip participants with practical skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

Meanwhile, the Club's Automotive Mechanics Department will offer hands-on workshops for participants aged 16 to 26, including dedicated sessions for young women following the success of previous editions.

Participants will receive hands-on training in vehicle diagnostics, basic repairs, engine timing systems, cylinder head assembly and disassembly, and braking and steering systems. They will also take part in vehicle diagnostics competitions designed to enhance their technical and practical skills.

As part of its efforts to nurture young talent and foster innovation, QSC's Promising Innovator Department will offer a range of scientific programs, including Smart Crime Investigator, robotics programming and fabrication workshops, the Space Pioneers program, the Creative Minds Challenge in partnership with MasterMind Qatar, and Mind Sports program in collaboration with MaxMind Center.

The programs are designed to foster scientific thinking, creativity, and teamwork in an interactive learning environment.

The Club will also continue its outreach to youth centers and clubs through workshops and awareness lectures on artificial intelligence and its practical applications.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of emerging technologies and empower young people to apply them across scientific, educational, and professional fields. (QNA)
