Israeli Forces Detain Four Palestinians, Assault Others Across Various Location in West Bank
Ramallah, June 27 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian man on Jerusalem Street, near Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, Saturday.
Israeli special forces infiltrated Jerusalem Street, surrounded a house there and deployed military reinforcements to the area before detaining the man in question, the Palestine News and Info Agency (Wafa) has said.
Meanwhile, the Palestine Red Crescent Society's emergency center in Nablus has said that a 14-year-old boy was transferred to the hospital for treatment, after having been beaten and injured by Israeli soldiers.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society in Tubas has said that Israeli forces detained a Palestinian man in the city of Tubas today, while he was passing through the Awarta checkpoint, south of Nablus.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, a Palestinian young man was injured in the face when Israeli occupation forces stormed a wedding celebration in the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The young man was taken to a medical center for treatment after being struck directly in the face by a tear gas canister, the Jerusalem Governorate has reported, with several wedding attendees, including children and elderly people, suffering from tear gas inhalation.
Israeli forces also arrested two Palestinians from the town of Yatta in the Hebron Governorate today.
They also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and its surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps, closing a number of main and secondary roads using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth barriers.
Areas across the occupied West Bank have been witnessing a continuing escalation by Israeli forces, which carry out near-daily raids, house searches, arrests, and road closures, alongside repeated attacks by Israeli settlers targeting Palestinians and their property. (QNA)
