Qatar Justice Ministry and Diplomatic Institute Sign Cooperation Agreement to Enhance Training and Research
Doha, June 25 (QNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Justice and the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in training, professional development, and scientific research, as part of efforts to develop national expertise and promote knowledge exchange.
The agreement was signed by Assistant Undersecretary for Agreements and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice, Khalid Mohammed Ahmed Al Obaidli, and HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute, Dr Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Horr, in the presence of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi.
The MoU seeks to leverage the capabilities and expertise of both institutions through specialized training programs, the exchange of trainers, researchers and experts, and collaboration on studies and research projects of mutual interest. It also provides for the organization of conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as initiatives aimed at building national capacity in legal and diplomatic fields.
The agreement further outlines cooperation in research and advisory activities, the development of joint training programs, and the exchange of best practices to support the strategic objectives of both institutions and enhance professional and academic performance.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Al Obaidli said the agreement reflected the Ministry of Justice's commitment to expanding partnerships with leading national institutions in the fields of training and development. He said the cooperation would strengthen training and qualification frameworks and contribute to preparing highly skilled national professionals capable of responding to contemporary challenges.
He added that collaboration with the Diplomatic Institute represented an important step towards harnessing shared expertise and developing specialized programs and research that support Qatar's national development goals and institutional excellence.
For his part, Dr Al Horr described the agreement as a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. He said it would create broader opportunities for the exchange of expertise and the development of joint initiatives in training, research and academic studies.
He added that the Diplomatic Institute remained committed to developing high-quality training and research programs in partnership with national institutions, helping to equip Qatari professionals with the legal and diplomatic knowledge and skills needed to meet evolving challenges and support the country's efforts to enhance institutional performance and foster a culture of excellence.
