State Minister for Energy Offers Condolences to India Over Ras Laffan Gas Plant Victims
Doha, June 24 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, has visited the Indian Embassy in Doha to offer condolences over the deaths of Indian nationals in the recent incident at the Barzan Gas Plant in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
During the visit, Al Kaabi met with HE Ambassador of the Republic of India Vipul and conveyed his condolences, as well as those of employees across Qatar's energy sector, to the government and people of India.
The loss of innocent lives is a tragedy that affects us all, Al Kaabi said, expressing sympathy to the families of those who died and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
According to authorities, 12 Indian nationals were among 13 people killed in the explosion and fire at the Barzan Gas Plant on Sunday.
The incident also left 66 people injured, although no life-threatening cases were reported. (QNA)
