Doha, June 22 (QNA) - Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) announced a temporary suspension of Lusail Tram services from June 26 until July 5, 2026, to facilitate improvement works across the network.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the company said the temporary suspension is being implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Transport as part of Qatar Rail's ongoing efforts to enhance passenger services and improve the performance of the tram network.
The statement noted that replacement bus services will operate between Legtaifiya Station and Tarfat - South Station during the suspension period to maintain service continuity for passengers. Metroexpress and Metrolink services will also continue to operate as usual without any changes to their schedules.
Qatar Rail added that a new Metrolink route, M154, will be launched to serve the area and support the continuity of services.
The company said that following the completion of the first phase of the improvement works, services on the at-grade sections of the Lusail Tram network will remain suspended to allow for comprehensive maintenance works aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving customer experience.
Metroexpress and Metrolink services will continue to serve the area during this period, ensuring connectivity with the wider public transport network. (QNA)
