Moscow, June 21 (QNA) - Russian authorities announced that four people were killed and 28 others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Governor in Crimea Sergey Aksyonov said that Ukrainian drones had carried out an attack on the city of Kerch, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to 28 others.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense units intercepted 239 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions.

On the other hand, Ukrainian authorities announced that six people were injured in a Russian drone attack targeting Ukraine's Sumy region.

According to Ukraine's Ukrinform news agency, the Sumy Regional Military Administration confirmed that Russian forces have been conducting continuous drone attacks on the region since last night, including strikes on the regional center, which resulted in the injuries of the six individuals.

Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in Feb. 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily statements and reports on military operations, regularly announcing the downing of drones and reporting casualty figures. However, these reports and statements are not subject to independent verification. (QNA)
