12 Injured in Shooting in Chicago, USA
Washington, June 21 (QNA) - A shooting targeting a group of people in Chicago, Illinois, left 12 injured.
Chicago police said in a statement that an SUV stopped near a group of people on a city street before two people inside opened fire indiscriminately, injuring 12 people, including four women.
Police added that all the injured were transported hospitals for treatment. Authorities have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the incident.
Authorities launched a large-scale search for the two suspects after they fled the scene following the shooting.
The US continues to experience a high number of gun violence incidents, amid widespread firearm ownership and rising levels of violence in several cities. (QNA)
