Cairo, June 20 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met today with his visiting Sudanese counterpart, Mohieddin Salem, to discuss the latest developments in Sudan.
During the meeting, Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's unwavering support for Sudan's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions as well as its rejection of the establishment of any parallel entities.
He stressed the importance of reaching a humanitarian truce to pave the way for a sustainable ceasefire and the resumption of the political process, while ensuring humanitarian access to affected areas, respecting the principle of Sudanese ownership of the political solution, and emphasizing the importance of the Quartet's efforts to support stability and end the conflict.
For his part, the Sudanese Foreign Minister outlined the efforts undertaken by his government to address the current challenges. (QNA)
