Gaza, June 02 (QNA) - One Palestinian was martyred on Tuesday by shots from the Israeli occupation forces in the southern Gaza Strip, as its violations of the ceasefire agreement continued.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian man was martyred by gunfire from the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of Hamad City, north-west of Khan Yunis in the southern Strip, according to Palestinian News Agency WAFA.
Another Palestinian was martyred and others were wounded earlier today as a result of a strike by an Israeli drone targeting the Al‑Farouq neighborhood in the town of Al‑Zawaida in central Gaza.
Israel continues its military offensive in the Gaza Strip amid escalating airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting various areas across the enclave.
The Israeli occupation forces continued artillery shelling, demolition of homes, and live fire in various areas of the Strip, as it carried out a large‑scale demolition east of Al‑Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, while military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Yunis, coinciding with ongoing demolition operations in the eastern areas of the city.
The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,941 martyrs and 172,967 wounded.
The occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement through further assassinations, artillery shelling, airstrikes, and intense gunfire across several areas of the Strip. (QNA)
