Israeli Occupation Forces Launch Detention Campaign Across West Bank
Ramallah, June 02 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale detention campaign across several West Bank governorates on Tuesday, detaining 41 Palestinians, including students and former prisoners.
The detentions were carried out during simultaneous military raids involving dozens of home searches and the ransacking of property.
According to the Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA), the occupation forces detained 4 Palestinian women from the city of Ramallah, in addition to 13 Palestinians from the Tulkarm governorate, and one Palestinian from eastern Bethlehem.
It added that 10 Palestinians were detained in the Nablus governorate, in addition to 10 others from the town of Anata, north-east of occupied Jerusalem.
Three additional young men were also detained during raids on the villages of Deir Abu Mash'al and Abu Shkheidim, northwest of Ramallah.
Palestinian prisoners' organizations indicate that the occupation authorities have significantly escalated their arrest campaigns since the start of the aggression on Gaza, targeting various segments of Palestinian society, including university students, freed prisoners, and activists. (QNA)
