Ukrainian President Discusses Peace Efforts with US Counterpart
Kyiv, June 15 (QNA) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed peace efforts in Ukraine with US counterpart Donald Trump in a phone call.
Zelenskyy stated that he briefed Trump on the latest developments in Ukraine, adding that he would discuss the crisis with Russia and peace efforts during a meeting with the US president at the G7 summit later in France.
Zelenskyy's Communications Advisor Dmytro Lytvyn said that the conversation was productive and lasted between 30-35 minutes.
In recent months, several rounds of US-brokered negotiations aimed at reaching a settlement to the war in Ukraine have failed to bring Kyiv and Moscow closer together. (QNA)
