Cairo, June 13 (QNA) - The Arab Parliament has condemned the misleading media reports and allegations against the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, asserting that they constitute a desperate attempt to undermine their efforts, standing, and active role in supporting security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
In a statement today, Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi affirmed that such allegations do not serve the interests of the region's peoples and contribute to sowing discord and distorting the facts at a time when current challenges necessitate enhanced cooperation and solidarity among Arab states to confront crises and consolidate the foundations of development and peace.
He noted that both countries have played significant roles in supporting diplomatic initiatives and efforts aimed at resolving conflicts and addressing crises, reflecting a clear commitment to the principles of cooperation, partnership, and joint action to achieve development and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
Al Yamahi stressed that the Arab Parliament strongly rejects media misleading campaigns and attempts to sow discord, emphasizing that Arab solidarity, respect for the sovereignty of states, and non-interference in their internal affairs are fundamental pillars for maintaining the region's security and stability.
