New York, June 12 (QNA) - Morocco kicks off its 2026 World Cup campaign with a challenging clash against Brazil at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, aiming to repeat its historic FIFA Qatar 2022 semi-final run under coach Mohamed Wahbi.
Brazil, led by Carlo Ancelotti, seeks a strong start to chase its sixth World Cup title. The match is crucial for both sides to assert their position among football elites.
Meanwhile, the United States begins its tournament against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, relying on coach Mauricio Pochettino and key European-based players, including Christian Pulisic, to impose a fast, attacking style. Paraguay returns to the World Cup after a 16-year absence under coach Gustavo Alfaro.
These opening games serve as an early test of the ambitions of Morocco, Brazil, the US, and Paraguay, shaping their path toward the knockout stages. (QNA)
