Qatari Runner Abderrahman Samba Finishes 5th in Diamond League's Oslo Games
Oslo, June 11 (QNA) - Qatari runner Abderrahman Samba finished fifth in the men's 400m hurdles at the Oslo Bislett Games, the sixth stop of the 2026 Diamond League athletics season.
Samba clocked 48.40 seconds after making a strong start and leading the race in its early stages before falling behind in the final meters to cross the finish line in fifth place.
This was Samba’s second Diamond League appearance of the season following his participation in Xiamen in China, as he continues his preparations for upcoming competitions, most notably the Asian Games scheduled to be held in Japan.
In the same race, Brazil’s Alison dos Santos took first place in 46.89 seconds, securing his second consecutive Diamond League victory after winning in Stockholm. Norway’s Karsten Warholm finished second in 47.40 seconds, while American Caleb Dean placed third in 48.22 seconds.
Warholm holds the Diamond League record for the event with a time of 46.52 seconds, set in Oslo in 2023. (QNA)
