Doha, June 01 (QNA) - The Qatar Stock Exchange closed lower on Monday, with its benchmark index shedding 116.10 points, or 1.1%, to finish at 10,438.86 points.
A total of 171.4 million shares were traded during the session, with a combined value of QAR 583.1 million ($160.1 million), across 66,297 transactions spanning all sectors.
Market sentiment was largely negative, with shares of 30 listed companies declining, while 18 stocks recorded gains. Six companies closed unchanged from their previous levels.
The market's total capitalization stood at QAR 626.9 billion at the close of trading, down from QAR 631.5 billion in the previous session, reflecting a decline of approximately QAR 4.6 billion in market value. (QNA)
