Beijing, June 01 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) Asia and Oceania Intergovernmental Ministerial Meeting on Anti-Doping in Sport, taking place in Beijing, China, starting today, Monday, and running until June 3.
The meeting brings together representatives of governments, national sport bodies, and relevant organizations.
Advisor to HE the Minister of Sports and Youth, Abdulrahman bin Muslim Al Dosari chaired the State of Qatar's delegation at the meeting.
This participation reflects Qatar's commitment to strengthening its active presence in international sporting forums and in supporting global efforts aimed at protecting the integrity of sports and promoting fairness and transparency in athletic competitions.
During his participation in the meeting, Abdulrahman bin Muslim Al Dosari reaffirmed the State of Qatar's firm commitment to supporting international initiatives and programs aimed at combating doping, stemming from Qatar's conviction in the importance of preserving sporting values.
Qatar attaches great importance to anti-doping, by developing relevant legislative frameworks and national policies, in addition to enhancing awareness and educational programs directed at athletes and technical and administrative personnel, Al Dosari highlighted.
The State of Qatar's partaking in the meeting underscores its continued dedication to supporting international efforts to strengthen sporting integrity and reinforce the country's position as an active partner in developing the global sports system, in line with Qatar's vision of building a comprehensive sporting sector founded on transparency, excellence, and sustainability.
