Beirut, June 01 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,433 dead, in addition to 10,395 injured.

The Israeli occupation continues to launch raids on areas in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on April 16 and was extended for the second time on May 15 for 45 days, amid UN and international warnings of deteriorating security and humanitarian conditions in the region.

In the same context, the UN Security Council is holding an emergency meeting today to discuss developments in the war in Lebanon.

The emergency meeting comes at the request of France following the Israeli occupation forces' capture of the historic Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon. (QNA)
