Moscow, May 07 (QNA) Governor of Russia's Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced Thursday that 13 people, including a child, were injured in a Ukrainian attack targeting residential buildings in the city.
The overnight attack targeted the Bezhetsky District, causing damage to two residential buildings, more than 20 apartments, and approximately 40 vehicles, Bogomaz said via Telegram.
The attack comes ahead of Russia's planned unilateral ceasefire with Ukraine on May 8 and 9, coinciding with Moscow's celebrations of Victory Day in World War II.
Ukraine had proposed a ceasefire starting May 6, but Moscow did not respond to the proposal.
In a related development, Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, announced today that at least three drones flying towards the Russian capital had been destroyed. (QNA)
