Islamabad, May 06 (QNA) - Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the current momentum leads to a lasting US-Iran agreement that secures durable peace and stability for the region and beyond.

"Pakistan remains firmly committed to supporting all efforts that promote restraint and a peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy," posted Sharif on X.

He added that US President, Donald Trump's response to the request made by Pakistan and other countries, will go a long way towards advancing regional peace, stability and reconciliation during this sensitive period.

The Pakistani Prime Minister also noted the US' decision to pause Project Freedom in the Strait of Hormuz, as efforts are underway to reach a deal. (QNA)
