QSE Index Drops 34.06 Points at Start of Trading
Doha, May 05 (QNA) - The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 34.06 points, or 0.32%, at the start of Tuesday's trading, down to 10,530 points compared to the previous session's closing.
The market was weighed down by declines in six sectors: Transportation (-1.10%), Real Estate (-0.58%), Insurance (-0.30%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.25%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.25%), and Industrials (-0.24%). Meanwhile, the performance was positive for the Telecoms sector by (+0.11%).
By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 65.691 million, with 29.650 million shares traded in 3,803 transactions. (QNA)
