Gaza, May 04 (QNA) - A Palestinian was martyred Monday after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the northern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was martyred after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Atatra area, north of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli occupation forces continued shelling and airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip, with artillery targeting eastern Khan Younis and Gaza City, amid heavy gunfire from military vehicles.
The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,610 martyrs, with 172,448 injured.
The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect on Oct. 10, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from positions and populated areas in the Gaza Strip and the beginning of the return of displaced persons to the northern part of the territory.
This took place within the framework of the first phase of an initiative by US President Donald Trump aimed at ending the war in Gaza. (QNA)
