Beirut, May 3 (QNA) - Five people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health's Emergency Operations Center stated that five citizens were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Srifa, in the Tyre district. Among the injured were four paramedics from the Health Authority, who were near their medical center at the time.

The Ministry reiterated its condemnation of these repeated attacks, recalling Article 19 of the Geneva Convention, which stipulates that medical facilities must be protected from any harm caused by attacks in conflict zones. The Ministry emphasized that the opposite is happening.

The Israeli entity intensified its attacks today on southern Lebanon, violating the ceasefire that began on April 16 for ten days and was extended on April 24 for three weeks.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting a house in the town of Jebchit, completely destroying it. The agency noted that less than fifteen minutes later, the same town was subjected to a second airstrike.

It added that Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike on the town of Arab Salim, and another on the Safa neighborhood in the town of Doueir.

A further airstrike destroyed a house in the residential city of Shams, located between the towns of Sharqiyah and Namiriyah.

Israeli warplanes also launched a raid on the Al-Aqaba neighborhood in the town of Kfardounin in the Bint Jbeil district, while the town of Al-Qusaybah was subjected to a second raid in less than an hour, and also raided the town of Frun in the Bint Jbeil district, targeting a number of houses in the center of the town, while an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the town of Jouya in the Tyre district, resulting in two injuries that were transferred to Tyre hospitals, while another drone targeted the town of Safad Al-Batikh and the town of Haris in the Bint Jbeil district.
