Doha, May 03 (QNA) - The semi-finals of the HH the Amir Basketball Cup for the 2025-2026 season will be played on Monday at Al Gharafa Sports Club Hall, featuring two high-profile matchups as teams vie for a place in the final.
In the first semi-final, Al Ahli SC face Al Arabi SC at 6:00 p.m. Al Ahli advanced after defeating Al Wakrah 85-72 in the quarter-finals, relying on a balanced approach and disciplined game management.
Al Arabi, meanwhile, secured their spot with a dominant 104-73 victory over Qatar SC, showcasing a high-tempo attacking style and effective team coordination, particularly in transition.
The clash is expected to hinge on contrasting styles, with Al Ahli favoring controlled tempo and defensive organization, while Al Arabi rely on speed and open play.
In the second semi-final at 8:00 pm, Al Sadd SC take on Al Rayyan SC in a matchup between two of the tournament's most potent attacking sides.
Al Sadd reached the last four with a 107-96 win over Al Shamal, capitalizing on offensive depth and scoring versatility.
Al Rayyan advanced after defeating Al Gharafa 104-82, imposing their tempo early with quick transitions and sustained defensive pressure.
Both sides enter the contest with comparable offensive strength and players capable of making decisive contributions, setting the stage for a closely contested encounter.
The winners of Monday's matches will advance to the final, scheduled for Wednesday.
Al Rayyan are the defending champions, having defeated Al Arabi in last season's final. (QNA)
