Israeli Airstrikes on southern Lebanon Leave Many Killed, Wounded
Beirut, May 28 (QNA) - Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes today on various areas in southern Lebanon, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.
According to Lebanon's National News Agency, an Israeli drone targeted a family as they were attempting to flee from threatened villages to a safer location, killing six people, including children.
The agency added that two people were killed when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle on the public housing road in Tyre, southern Lebanon. Israeli warplanes also fired two missiles at an apartment in a multi-story building in the Qiyaa area of Sidon, where a displaced family from southern Lebanon was residing, resulting in several deaths.
These add to the casualty toll of 3,269 killed and 9,840 wounded, according to the latest official statistics.
The Israeli occupation army continues its attacks on southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire agreement that began on April 16 and was extended for the second time on May 15 for 45 days, amid warnings of worsening security and humanitarian conditions in the region. (QNA)
