Four Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Southern Lebanon
Beirut, May 22 (QNA) - Four people were killed and two paramedics wounded in an Israeli occupation airstrike that targeted a position belonging to the Islamic Health Authority in the town of Hanawiya in southern Lebanon overnight.
In a related development, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that an Israeli drone flew at a very low altitude over Beirut's southern suburbs amid ongoing security tensions and escalating violence.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced on Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon had risen to 3,089, with 9,397 others injured since March 2, as Israeli strikes and attacks continue across several areas, particularly in the south.
The Israeli occupation army continues its attacks on southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire that took effect on April 16 and was extended for a second time last Friday for an additional 45 days, amid growing concerns over the deteriorating security and humanitarian situation in the region. (QNA)
