Doha, May 21 (QNA) - The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) launched on Thursday the exhibition "Compositions from the Spirit of Art" by Qatari visual artist Dania Tariq, which will run until next Monday.

The exhibition presents 34 artworks offering a rich artistic experience filled with emotion and imagination, as Dania Tariq, a hearing-impaired visual artist, succeeds in transforming silence into a vibrant visual language of beauty and meaning through works that rely on mixed media, blending visual art with musical sensation in a distinctive creative experience.

The exhibition comprises four diverse artistic collections exploring dimensions of human and national identity, contemporary geometric abstraction, and color harmony.

In the first collection, the artist draws inspiration from the image of the Arab woman with her authentic features and traditional attire, with a clear presence of pearl, "sadu" weaving, and heritage motifs, in works reflecting the strength of women and the depth of their cultural roots.

In the second collection, she evokes architectural buildings and heritage structures in a contemporary style that reinterprets traditional visual symbols using modern techniques, reflecting her connection to the homeland and the role of art in bridging the past and the present.

The third collection presents geometric abstract works based on the relationships between color, line, and form, allowing viewers to reflect and discover the artwork from a personal perspective.

The fourth collection relies on the free interaction and harmony of colors in paintings filled with movement and spontaneity, reflecting a balance between mind and emotion, light and shadow, where colors become a language expressing inner harmony and connection with nature.

The exhibition brings together various materials such as plaster, fabric, "sadu", burlap, metals, and beads, in a harmonious embodiment of matter and spirit, conveying humanitarian messages of hope, resilience, and creativity that transcend challenges.

The exhibition comes as part of Katara's efforts to support Qatari artists and highlight creative talents across various fields of art and culture. (QNA)
