Winners of Sports and Youth Excellence Award for 2025-2026 Season Honored
Doha, May 20 (QNA) - The Ministry of Sports and Youth organized on Wednesday a ceremony to honor the winners of the fifth edition of the Sports and Youth Excellence Award for the 2025-2026 season, under the theme: "Generations of Excellence, A Nation of Distinction."
In his address on this occasion, HE Minister of Sports and Youth Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani congratulated all the award winners, praising their outstanding efforts and remarkable achievements that reflected their determination and perseverance.
The fifth edition of the award represents a significant milestone in establishing a culture of institutional excellence in the State of Qatar, His Excellency said, noting that the award is no longer merely an annual recognition, but has evolved into a comprehensive national framework that motivates institutions and individuals to adopt best practices and elevate their performance levels according to clear standards based on quality, sustainability, and innovation.
His Excellency also stated that the award's continuous development reflects the significant efforts made by sports and youth institutions to enhance their programs and initiatives, aligning with the state's vision of investing in human capital and building its capabilities.
He emphasized that the award, through its successive cycles, has contributed to creating a positive competitive environment that has fostered excellence and solidified the concepts of leadership and institutional work based on planning, measurement, and continuous evaluation.
HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Engineer Yasser bin Abdullah Al Jamal honored the top winners in the various award categories.
In the youth committees category, the youth committee of Al Khor Sports Club won first place, while the youth department of Al Wakrah Sports Club secured second place.
In the youth centers category, the Doha Girls Center won first place, while Alreyada Girls Center finished second.
Qatar Youth Hostels won first place in the specialized centers category, while the Qatar Science Club earned second place.
In the sports clubs category, Al Arabi Sports Club secured first place, followed by Al Sadd Sports Club in second, and Al Rayyan Sports Club in third.
Since its inception approximately five years ago, the Sports and Youth Excellence Award has been one of the most prominent national initiatives aimed at stimulating institutional performance and enhancing the quality of programs and services offered to young people.
This aligns with national development priorities and contributes to preparing a conscious and active generation capable of actively participating in the development process.
The award also reflects the Ministry of Sports and Youth's vision of building an integrated system of excellence based on professionalism, innovation, and youth empowerment. (QNA)
