Baghdad, May 20 (QNA) - The Iraqi Ministerial Council for National Security, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Al Zaidi, stressed that Baghdad openly rejects the use of Iraqi territory and airspace as a staging ground to conduct attacks against Arab and regional nations.

According to a statement by his media office, Al Zaidi further confirmed that the government will resolutely address this issue, calling for an investigation into the attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

He pledged to take measures against any entity found to be implicated in using Iraqi territory as a launchpad for these assaults.

Al Zaidi reiterated Iraq's condemnation of the recent attacks that targeted Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He underscored that Baghdad is committed to collaborating with Arab and regional countries to prevent the recurrence of such attacks, the statement read.

The statement further noted that a special committee has been formed to engage with the relevant entities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, stressing that the Iraqi government will never hesitate to take action against any individual or group that imperils the security of Iraq or any Arab or regional country.

The gathering reemphasized that the Iraqi government is committed to establishing state monopoly over weapons, securing diplomatic missions and foreign commercial assets, and enhancing security and stability while maintaining balanced relations with regional partners and the international community.
