Doha, May 20 (QNA) - A seminar at the 35th Doha International Book Fair explored the role of visual arts in shaping meaning and public awareness amid rapid changes in global visual culture.

During the discussion, Dr. Nizar Chakroun, an adviser at the Ministry of Culture, said images have become a central force in shaping contemporary knowledge and awareness, while stressing that visual arts remain marginalized in Arab culture compared to literature and text-based discourse.

He called for stronger cultural and educational policies to support the visual arts and develop critical visual awareness capable of engaging with the digital age and evolving image culture. (QNA)
