New Delhi, May 2 (QNA) - Four members of the Indian National Reserve Police Force were killed after an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated during a mine-clearing operation in Kankar district of Chhattisgarh state in southern India.
Police reported that the incident occurred in the border area between Kankar and Narayanpur, within the jurisdiction of the Choti Pithia police station. A team of the force was conducting a mine-clearing operation in an area affected by militant activity when a pre-planted IED exploded as they attempted to defuse it.
