QFC, CBQ Sign Partnership to Boost Fintech Services
Doha, May 13 (QNA) - Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) signed a memorandum of understanding with Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) aimed at improving banking access and financial services for companies operating under the QFC platform.
The agreement establishes cooperation in fintech and digital assets, including joint events, hackathons, and opportunities to develop and test tokenization technology through QFC's Digital Assets Lab.
The partnership will also include workshops throughout the year to help companies track market developments and exchange financial expertise.
CEO of QFC Mansoor Rashid Al Khater said the collaboration reflects QFC's commitment to providing a supportive business environment and enabling companies to access the banking services needed for confident growth.
CEO of CBQ Stephen Moss said the agreement reinforces efforts to strengthen Qatar's position as a leading financial hub and simplify business operations through enhanced digital connectivity and streamlined banking procedures. (QNA)
