Qatar's Aman Center Launches Campaign to Protect Children from Violence and Bullying
Doha, May 13 (QNA) - A social protection center in Doha has launched a community awareness campaign aimed at protecting children from violence, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), part of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, said the initiative targets parents and staff in public and private schools and kindergartens, including social and psychological specialists, to raise awareness about violence and bullying.
Speaking about the initiative, Aman's Acting Executive Director Fadl Al Kaabi said the campaign reflects the Centre’s commitment to strengthening the child protection system by empowering both families and schools. He stressed that "investing in awareness is the cornerstone of prevention," adding that the center works to expand partnerships with educational institutions to ensure a sustainable positive impact on society.
For her part, Bakhita Al Ghayathin, the center's director of the community awareness department, said the campaign delivers practical and interactive workshops tailored to the needs of parents and school staff. She noted that participants are trained to identify signs of violence or bullying and respond appropriately and in a timely manner.
Meanwhile, Hanan Al Ali, director of the media and communication office, said the campaign is part of a broader series of awareness initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of protection and creating a safe educational environment. She added that the center is also preparing a series of awareness messages and videos to be shared on social media to further spread the campaign's objectives.
The center said the campaign has already reached more than 300 beneficiaries in early 2026, with ongoing efforts to expand outreach to more schools throughout the year. (QNA)
