Doha, May 13 (QNA) - Represented by its Monitoring and Inspection Department, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, organized, in cooperation with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), a specialized training course on auditing laboratories in accordance with the requirements of "ISO/IEC 17025:2017," which was held virtually with the aim of enhancing institutional efficiency and developing technical capabilities.
The four-day course included 22 employees from the Ministry's technical staff, representing the Monitoring and Inspection Department and the Radiation Protection Department, in addition to a representative from the office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs.
The course focused on enhancing participants' skills in auditing environmental laboratories according to the latest international quality standards, highlighting their applications in the areas of air quality, radiation monitoring and environmental inspection, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the results.
This initiative falls within the framework of the Ministry's ongoing commitment to qualifying national cadres and developing the quality and calibration system, in support of the goals of sustainable development and in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard is considered the most important for calibration and testing laboratories worldwide, and it is used in developing a management system capable of achieving accurate and reliable results. (QNA)
