Arab League Condemns IRGC Infiltration into Kuwait's Bubiyan
Cairo, May 12 (QNA) - Arab League strongly condemned the illegal and hostile infiltration by members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps into Bubiyan Island, which resulted in a clash with Kuwaiti forces and the injury of a serviceman.
In a statement Tuesday, Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said the incident represents a dangerous precedent and a clear attempt to destabilize regional security at a highly sensitive time, stressing that it is a blatant violation of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
He rejected the escalating Iranian actions targeting multiple Gulf states, including attacks on territory and maritime areas, and demanded an immediate halt to all hostile activities.
He reaffirmed full Arab solidarity with Kuwait and its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, stressing that Kuwait's security is an integral part of Arab national security. (QNA)
