N. Korea Announces Test of New Tactical Ballistic Missile
Pyongyang, April 09 (QNA) - North Korea announced Thursday that it has conducted a test launch of a new tactical ballistic missile, asserting its high destructive power.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that the surface-to-surface missile Hwasong-11Ka, equipped with a cluster warhead, was launched as part of Pyongyang's tests of important weapons systems conducted from Monday to Wednesday last week.
KCNA said that the test proved the missile "can reduce to ashes any target covering an area of 6.5 to 7 hectares with the highest-density power."
"The test-firing was aimed at estimating the combat application and cluster munitions power of a tactical ballistic missile warhead," the agency added.
This tactical ballistic missile test comes one day after North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea. (QNA)
