Amman, April 9 (QNA) - Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi met Thursday with Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot, who is currently visiting Jordan, to discuss the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Al Safadi and Prevot condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which resulted in a large number of civilian casualties.

They affirmed their full solidarity with Lebanon and their unwavering support for its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens, stressing the need for an immediate ceasefire.

They also stressed the necessity of concerted international efforts to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to Lebanon to meet the needs of more than one million Lebanese who have been displaced from their homes and villages.

The two ministers reiterated their welcome of the ceasefire agreement reached between the US and Iran.(QNA)
