Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from Iran's Foreign Minister

Doha, April 06 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Abbas Araghchi.

The call discussed the developments of the current escalation and its repercussions on regional security and stability.

His Excellency voiced the State of Qatar's condemnation of Iran's continued targeting of Qatar and the countries of the region, stressing that this escalation toward countries that have distanced themselves from the war represents tampering with the security of the region and disregard for its stability.

His Excellency also stressed that targeting civilian infrastructure and the resources of peoples is unacceptable and condemned behavior from any party and under any circumstances, urging for respect for international law by all parties and sparing peoples the consequences of conflicts.

His Excellency emphasized that a comprehensive and lasting diplomatic solution remains the only option for resolving the crisis, in a way that achieves security and stability and spares the region further tension and escalation. (QNA)
