US Secretary of War Dismisses Chief of Staff
Washington, April 03 (QNA) - US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth dismissed Army Chief of Staff General Randy George from his post today.
The Department of War said in a statement that George will retire as Chief of Staff. The department expressed gratitude for George's services.
The ministry did not give a reason for his departure, which comes as the U.S. military is bolstering its presence in the Middle East in conjunction with operations against Iran.
George was appointed to the top Army post in 2023. The term of office for this position is typically four years. (QNA)
