Paris, April 29 (QNA) - Paris Saint-Germain edged Bayern Munich 5-4 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash on Wednesday in Paris.
The French side's goals came from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored twice in the 24th and 56th minutes, Ousmane Dembele with a brace (45+5 from the penalty spot and 59th minute), and Joao Neves in the 33rd minute. Bayern's goals were scored by Harry Kane (17th minute, penalty), Michael Olise (41), Dayot Upamecano (65), and Luis Diaz (69).
Both teams delivered a high-quality, fast-paced encounter marked by skill, intensity, and quick transitions. Nine goals were scored in total, five of them in the first half, which ended 3-2 in favor of the hosts. PSG mounted a strong comeback after conceding early, overturning a one-goal deficit to lead by halftime.
With this result, the tie remains open ahead of the return leg in Germany next Wednesday.
Defending champions PSG need only to maintain their advantage or win by any margin to advance, while Bayern must secure victory by at least two goals to reach the final.
