Kabul, April 27 (QNA) - A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan Monday, with no reports of casualties so far.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 105.1 kilometers.
Afghanistan is frequently affected by earthquakes, particularly in the Hindu Kush mountain range, located near the junction of the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates.
A series of earthquakes measuring up to 6.3 on the Richter scale had struck Herat Province in western Afghanistan in October 2023. (QNA)
