Gaza, April 25 (QNA) - Two Palestinians were martyred on Saturday, one of them succumbing to his wounds, as a result of shelling and gunfire by Israeli forces in northern Gaza.

Medical sources reported that one Palestinian was martyred after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Another Palestinian died from critical injuries sustained in a previous Israeli occupation strike on the Beit Lahia project area in northern Gaza.

Israeli occupation forces continue shelling and carrying out airstrikes across various parts of the Strip. The latest wave of attacks resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, including three children and a woman, and the injury of others, following multiple strikes launched yesterday in northern and southern Gaza.

The total number of casualties from the Israeli offensive on Gaza has risen to 72,585 killed and 172,370 injured since Oct. 7, 2023.

A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israeli entity had entered into force on October 10, following the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from populated areas in the Strip and the return of displaced residents to northern Gaza, as part of the first phase of an initiative announced by US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza.
