Kuwait, April 24 (QNA) - Kuwait announced the reopening of airspace at Kuwait International Airport, effective Thursday, after a temporary and precautionary suspension of flights since February 28 due to the situation in the region.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that this step comes in coordination with relevant local and international authorities to ensure the resumption of operations according to the highest safety and security standards, and within a well-studied phased plan to gradually resume air traffic in preparation for the airport's full operation in the coming period.

Kuwaiti civil aviation teams have completed the repair of damages inflicted on some airport facilities as a result of the Iranian attack.

The first phase of operations is scheduled to include stations and a number of flights according to operational priorities that ensure smooth operations, with continuous evaluation of each phase before moving to broader phases.(QNA)
