Tunis, April 24 (QNA) - The 40th Tunis International Book Fair opened Thursday with the participation of 394 publishing houses from 37 countries. The fair will run until May 3.

The fair's cultural program includes 25 intellectual, artistic, and literary events featuring 150 writers and researchers from Tunisia and abroad. An additional 216 cultural events are dedicated to children, with the participation of 75 institutions.

During the fair, eight awards will be presented to creative individuals, including six awards for literary and intellectual creativity and translation, and two awards for publishing. (QNA)
