Germany Summons Russian Ambassador Over Threats to German Targets
Berlin, April 21 (QNA) - The German Foreign Office summoned Russia's ambassador, Sergei Nechaev, on Monday over threats from Moscow directed at arms companies based in Germany.
In a communique, the ministry said, "We will not be intimidated. Such threats and all kinds of espionage activities in Germany are completely unacceptable."
"Russia's direct threats against targets in Germany are an attempt to weaken our support for Ukraine and to test our unity," the Foreign Office added.
Russia's Defense Ministry had recently published the addresses of German-based arms companies in response to new announcements of weapons deliveries to Ukraine.
This criticism from Moscow came against the backdrop of additional promises to provide aid to Kyiv during a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine in Berlin.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz had also agreed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on a strategic partnership between the two countries, including military cooperation. (QNA)
