European Stocks Open Sharply Lower
Brussels, April 20 (QNA) - European stock markets opened trading on Monday with a sharp decline, affected by rising oil prices following renewed tensions in West Asia between the United States and Iran.
Among the major markets, France's CAC 40 index in Paris fell by 1.08 percent, and Germany's DAX index in Frankfurt dropped by 1.28 percent.
The UK's FTSE 100 index slipped slightly by 0.39 percent, while Milan's index also declined by 1.27 percent. (QNA)
