Egypt’s President and Senior US Advisor Discuss Regional Issues
Cairo, April 20 (QNA) - President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Monday with Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, currently visiting Egypt, to discuss a range of regional issues of mutual interest.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency, the meeting reflected the ongoing alignment between Egypt and the United States on the necessity of de-escalation and the pursuit of political solutions to various regional crises.
Both sides stressed the necessity of exerting all necessary efforts to end the war and alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Sudanese people.
The Egyptian President highlighted that his country's vision for the Sudanese crisis is centered on ensuring Sudan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, while rejecting foreign interference and attempts to undermine its security, stability, or create a political vacuum.
For his part, the US official underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two nations to resolve the ongoing crises and conflicts in the region. (QNA)
